Mani has been our dear friend since 1998.
He was cut from the purest cloth, treating people with kindness, warmth and respect. He made people belly-laugh with his lightning-quick wit. He was intelligent, incisive and well-read.
He was a principled (Irish) Mancunian who despised inequality, was fiercely loyal, and truly loved his family, friends and football club.
He could have been a comedian, but became a God-like bassist. He was untouched by fame - always grounded but always with a swagger. We won't see his like again.
Many years ago, he strongly encouraged us to form a band. Deeply Armed would not exist without him.
We'll miss him, but we're blessed to have known him.
